That’s a mnemonic for order of operations, right? Parentheses-exponents- multiplication and division – addition and subtraction. I haven’t thought of that in years, it’s been second nature to me for so long.
He should at least get a point for creativity.

what a dumb question, “what is the definition of PEMDAS?” i don’t think writing out what the mnemonic stands for would really be the definition.
I think it’d be better worded if they used “order of operations” rather than the acronym
